Camel Milk Powder
Camel Milk Powder
Brand: Desert Silk
Producer: Camel Milk South Africa
Couldn't load pickup availability
Camel milk powder produced from a single-origin herd in the Kalahari region of South Africa, governed by ecological limits, herd health and system integrity.
Taste varies depending on forage conditions and seasonal vegetation within the production system.
The milk is gently dried for stability while preserving the integrity of the milk. No additives. No enhancement.
300g provides approximately 12–15 servings.
1kg provides approximately 40–50 servings and reduces cost per gram.
Ingredients: 100% camel milk powder.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container once opened.
Allergens: Produced in a facility that also processes cow and goat milk.

Biological origin
This product is dairy derived from camels, a biological distinct specie.
Its composition reflects camel physiology rather than bovine dairy structure.
Production limits
Camel milk yield per animal is substantially lower than that of high-output industrial dairy breeds.
Production is governed by environmental conditions and herd cycles rather than demand expansion.
Composition & Protein
Camel milk differs structurally from bovine milk because it is produced by a different species.
The protein composition reflects camel physiology rather than bovine physiology. Camel milk does not contain beta-lactoglobulin and does not contain A1 beta-casein. Its casein and whey fractions differ at a molecular level from those found in cow’s milk.
Camel milk contains lactose as part of its natural dairy composition.
These compositional characteristics are inherent to the species and are not the result of processing or modification. Individual responses to dairy products vary.
For detailed technical information on protein structure, lactose content and published research context, see our Composition & Research page.
Preparation
Camel milk powder is reconstituted using standard milk powder methods.
To reconstitute 1 liter of milk, add 100g of powder to 950ml warm water. Stir until dissolved.
Avoid excessive heat.
Pack size
The 300g pack is commonly selected for initial use.
The 1kg pack is typically chosen by established users.
